Framed Comic Prints: Your Personalised Story, Ready to Hang
Until now, every personalised comic from MyComicGift ended the same way: you downloaded a high-resolution file and figured out the rest. Print at home, send it to a print shop, find a frame, hope the colours came out right.
That worked. It still works. But a lot of you said the same thing — I love the comic but I just want it on the wall. So we made that possible.
We now print, frame, and ship the finished comic to your door. One link, one checkout, and a wooden-framed comic shows up at the address you give us.
What the Framed Print Actually Is
A real wooden frame containing a professionally printed version of your comic. Not a poster. Not a peel-and-stick decal. A proper picture frame, mounted, glazed, and ready to hang.
You choose three things:
- Size: A4 or A3
- Frame finish: Black, oak, or white wood
- Print scope: Either a single image (your cover or your storyboard) or both side by side in one frame
Everything else — the print quality, the colour profile, the upscaling — is handled by us. You don't need to know anything about DPI or paper weight or framing services.

Why We Built This
Three reasons.
Most gifts don't get framed. They get downloaded, opened, admired, and then forgotten in the camera roll. A gift that ships pre-framed skips that decay. It arrives ready to hang, which means it actually ends up on a wall.
Printing is fiddly. Choosing paper, calibrating colour, picking a frame size, picking glazing, mounting — most people don't want a five-hour craft project as part of a gift. A handful do. For the rest, having someone else do it correctly is the gift.
The comic deserves it. A personalised comic isn't a generic poster — it's a one-off illustration that exists for one person. Treating it like a real piece of art (framed, mounted, mailed) matches what the comic actually is.
How to Order
Once your comic is generated and the edits are final, the "Order framed print" button is right next to the download options inside the editor. Click it and you'll land on a page where you configure the print.
Choose Your Size
A4 — 210 × 297mm. Roughly book-page sized. Works for shelves, smaller walls, gallery walls where it sits alongside other frames.
A3 — 297 × 420mm. Statement size. Works as a standalone piece in a hallway, above a sofa, in an entryway.
When in doubt, A3. A personalised comic does most of its work at the size where the panels are readable from a few steps back.
Pick a Frame
Three wooden finishes, same price:
- Black — the safest choice for modern interiors. Reads as a graphic-art print.
- Oak — warm, neutral, works in almost any room. The closest to a classic comic-book-poster look.
- White — clean and minimal. Good for Scandinavian interiors and bright rooms.
All three are real wood. Pick the one that matches the wall the comic is going on.
Single or Double
The single most common question is which image goes in the frame — the cover or the storyboard? The answer:
- Double print — both images side by side in one frame. The default, and the version that tells the most complete story.
- Single print — either the cover by itself or the storyboard by itself. Useful if you already know which one you want to feature, or if you're planning to frame the other half separately later.
Same price either way. Pick whichever feels right.
What Happens After You Pay
- We upscale your chosen image(s) to print resolution — same engine as the existing HD download, no quality compromise.
- We hand-finish the print and frame.
- We ship it to the address you gave at checkout.
Most orders arrive within 8 business days of payment confirmation. You'll get an email once the order is in production and another when it ships.
The framed-print upscale is handled internally — you don't need to download the HD file or send us anything. The "Order framed print" flow takes care of it.
Where We Ship
Framed prints currently ship to:
- European Union — all 27 member states
- United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway
- United States and Canada
- Australia
If you're outside this list, the framed-print option won't be available at checkout, but you can still download the print-ready files and use a local print and framing service — many cities have great ones.
We're working on expanding the shipping list as our framing partners scale up production. If a country is missing that you'd like to ship to, let us know at josephine@mycomicgift.com.
When the Framed Print Is the Right Call
The framed print is the right call when:
- The comic is a gift and you want it to arrive ready, not as a project the recipient has to finish
- You don't have a colour-accurate home printer and don't want to deal with a print shop
- You want the comic to end up on a wall and you want to skip the steps between download and wall
- The occasion is a milestone (Father's Day, Mother's Day, anniversary, birthday, wedding, new home, retirement) and the gift deserves to look like a milestone gift
The framed print is not the right call when:
- You want to print at a specific size we don't offer (anything larger than A3, custom proportions)
- You want a specific frame style we don't offer (metallic, ornate, etc.)
- You're outside our shipping list and need it now
In those cases, the standard high-resolution download is still available — and the existing print-and-display guide covers the DIY route.
Order it framed and ready to hang
Skip the printing, framing, and shipping — we'll handle all three. A4 or A3, three wooden finishes, free shipping to supported countries.
